Over the summer I grew some rhubarb and this website helped me out a lot, but apparently the first year you grow it you can't really use that much of it. It will last for years though, and survives up to -20 C winter conditions.
The website also has info on cooking rhubarb, and a bunch of other crazy things it can be used for like cleaning pots and pans, using it as a hair colouring, insecticide or even making paper out of it.
